    Hi! I would love to make this for my mom and I since she loves squash but she’s diabetic. Any reccomendations for a way to make this or a deglaze of some sort without using syrup? Im wondering if a brush of garlic butter and some paprika would add a little bit of something 🤔 albeit would probably knock of the balance of that hint of sweetness and caramelization on the grill. Definitely trying this anyway!

      hiya! The maple definitely adds sweetness and it’s also sticky and helps everything adhere but it’s optional, I think a nice baste with some fat would be good also!
